It’s not until he’s discoverd and the little blonde leaves that he realizes that she was Franny, the town whore. Come to think of it, none of the books in the series was a joyful walk in the park, but they’re all so wonderfully written and have fabulous heroes and heroines that fans of the previous books will definitely want to read this one, no matter how gut wrenching it is to read.
There was a decided Ick factor going on reading about those issues and it was also really sad and disturbing. Once Chase has deliverd his message and Franny has heard him loud and clear, he starts to see that maybe she’s not exactly what he thought she was. They should be ashamed of themselves. So when Chase saw Franny–a golden-haired angel with deep green eyes, delicate features, and the sweetest smile–he set out to make her his.
He is totally smitten. You must choose the way you will go. I was just praying that he could get through to her. She’s spent nine years being degraded and used by men to the point where she feels like a non-person, someone who doesn’t deserve to be loved or respected. Oh, and t I was thinking about giving it two stars, because it took so long for me to finish it.
The only complaints I really have is the ending is abrupt after the struggle Franny and Chase go through, and surprisingly some of the dialogue is a little to modern.
